You have no idea how excited I am right now, really. I mean I want to be a writer, you know? And I, like many people, grew up thinking that you write a book and then send it off to a publisher and hope they think it’ll sell and publish it, and then you do that a few hundred times and maybe you’ll end up a minorly successful author who is read by someone other than your family and friends.
But the internet makes that all different! Especially with the publishers becoming less and less willing to take risks on potential new authors and the sad and slow death of the literary magazine, the best way for a hopeful writer to actually get their work out where it can be read by people is the internet. Web publishing, go! If this works out well I might even start selling some of my work on here. Wouldn’t that be awesome? Yes it would.
So look! I’ve got a story! YAY!
Today is the launch day so it is special in that I am posting the first part (of many) today, but the regularly scheduled updates are every Tuesday and Thursday. If it’s popular enough that I can do stuff with bonus content etc., that’ll be updated on the weekends.

i am actually really excited about this as well :D and not only because i can’t wait to see where this story goes, but also because this is part of what makes the internet such a wonderful thing: the potential to really get your work out there, whether it’s with music or blogging or a web serial or a webcomic, or whatever else, i really love the idea that anyone can succeed at their medium of choice without being taken advantage of by some big company full of assholes or having their creativity stifled by what “market research” might say the “public” wants. furthermore, i *especially* love it when i see someone i actually know take advantage of this with such awesome aspirations. i really think this could take you places, and i wish you the best of luck, and i look forward to reading :D
